May 4, 2005 - TAMPA, Fla. - HealthPlan Holdings announces the addition of Mr. Michael Moran as Vice President, Business Development.
In this new role, Moran's primary responsibility is growing the Taft-Hartley, government and large business segments of the firm's American Benefit Plan Administrators (ABPA) business unit.
"Mike has impeccable credentials in the large group arena, especially in working with Taft-Hartley trusts," said Jeff Bak, President and CEO of HealthPlan Holdings. "He has extensive knowledge and experience and is the ideal person to lead our efforts in this important market."
Prior to joining HPH, Moran was Assistant Vice President of Sales, responsible for sales and account management activities at First Health. He had also previously served as an assistant to the late Congressman Phil Burton where he focused on health and welfare issues.
Moran currently serves as chair of the health care services committee of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
